    1. [NYCOLUMB] Correction
    2. Correction: Yesterday, I misspoke about Chapinville, CT changing name to Taghkanic,Columbia,NY. It was changed to Taconic,CT., and is located there today, next to one of the Twin Lakes near the corner Junctions of Mass/CT/NY border area. Sorry for my confusion. It was a stop on the Central New England Railway. The Chapinville Village name was changed by the Post Office Department, because they had too many "ville's". I am still interested in the Chapin family, and the Loup family of Hillsdale, Columbia, NY. 1848-1857. Philyer Loup, (son of David & Anna Dudly (Loup), was a Miller by trade, with his wife, Fanny Maynard Chapin (Loup), (dau of Abiel Chapin & Fanny Maynard (Chapin). Phyler(sp), and Fanny had five children born Hillsdale. They were living in Stockport in 1860. Phyler died in Hudson, NY. after 1880. Some children went on to Erie, PA., and survivors on to Ohio. Best wishes, Bruce M. Smith
