I'm trying to find out if Ovid was married before Louisa Archaumbault. The reason is he had 2 kids before he and Louisa were married in 1868. Francis (Frank) E (B: 1866) and Ovid A. (B: 1865) I found Census info from 1860 that states Ovid Leamace (should be lemire) lived in New Lebanon, Columbia, New York and worked as a Blacksmith. It also states that he was married. Obviously in wasn't Louisa. This one has been a tough nut to crack! Ovid is my Great Great Grandfather. Thank you very much for any info. Hi, I would try the 1865 state census for Columbia Co., New York. You could order it from the LDS or contact the Columbia County Historical Society in Kinderhook, NY, to see if they could help you.
