Hi Diane, The query sounded familiar, but I had forgotten that Susan and Jim Brady were all over it a few months back. At least my conclusions agree. I looked quickly at some Wayne Co. PA census data. At Salem in 1850, there is a John Turner 40 born NJ with family next to Isaac. This suggests Isaac was there and may have had other children as well. Could Nancy born 1822 with children born in the 1850's and 1860's be a daughter-in-law? I would be very leery of data that shows a man having children when he's close to 80, even if his wife was 35 years his junior! Good luck, Jim Harder

Hi Jim, and thanks for the note. Indeed Nancy Kelley was Isaac's wife. Because she was so much younger, her daus. were able to pass on some little info on Nancy. Also, there was an article in a Scranton newspaper in 1937 about one dau. and she had some memories to share as well including Isaac's birth date/place. I am becoming more skeptical re the FR info, however. The John Turner next door to Isaac in 1850 census, I feel, is a son by an earlier marriage. John had a son w the same name as one of Isaac's sons - Milton. Plus the fact twins ran in the family (thank God it stopped by my generation!) and John had 2 sets; Isaac 1 set. Another of Isaac's sons (by Nancy) also had 2 sets. I have been after Isaac for so many years and have tried every angle I can think of. His 1812 records show nothing of gene. value at all. The cemetery where he is buried has only a War/1812 plaque - no stone - and no church records. Another thing that amazes me is there are other Turners in that area yet no one has ever contacted me (and I have posted many queries) w even the vaguest idea of a relationship. Ever onward!!
