I had also found the same info in footnote.com regarding the Revolutionary War soldier John Halverstadt/Halberstadt. I'm not sure if he is mine or not yet. Also Arthur C.M. Kelly did a search for me a year ago and found the Gebhard entries at Kinderhook. What I really need to find is a marriage entry for "Jane Son" who married a Holvenstot/Halberstadt around 1800 or so somewhere near Chatham. This has been a real brick wall for me.
