The Columbia Co. Surrogates Court in Hudson has wills, letters of administration, and letters testamentary copied into ledgers. They also have many of the original old wills. Columbia Co. formed in 1786 from Albany County. Wills prior to that, if they exist, should be stored in Albany Co. I had so much information about wills that I decided to make a webpage instead of trying to get it all into this email. The webpage will allow for additions later.
