Claire, What is the time frame for your obituaries? your probate records? Depending on your time frame, copies of obituaries that appeared in the Hudson, NY newspapers can be obtained at Columbia-Green Community College in Hudson, NY. Obituaries can be obtained fairly easily if you have the complete death date. It takes longer if you have the year and month of death. If you only have the year or no year it takes much longer. Probate records are found at The the surrogates court in Hudson. Many records exist in hard copy but the court is very reluctant to make photocopies. They do have records on microfilm. Printouts can be made from the microfilm reader, but they only have one lens which requires the user to take two page copies for a single page.
