From 6 p.m. until midnight Tuesday 4-17, www.ellisislandrecords.org successfully processed 8 million hits. The site is averaging 27,000 hits per second. Our site has been up and running and at full capacity every second since the launch. Users who are unable to get into the Website are now receiving a message indicating the site is busy and they should try again later.
