Hi, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this here on the list before but I have a wonderful photo from 1910 of a baseball team believed to be a Philmont team. The photo was taken in honor of their having won the championship for that year. The surnames of the players etc. are hand printed across the top. Maybe someone will have a connection to one of the men in the photo. My cousin James Maguire of Philmont was team pitcher. Brandow, OF; McGuire, P; Myers, 2B; Jones, MGR; Teator, OF, Capt; Teats, SB; Near, C; Decker, OF; Robertson, OF; Van Valkenburgh, 3B; Shea, OF; Robertson, Mascot (a boy); Bell, 1B; Stapel, OF. [This last could be Stopel]. I also have a photo of this team or maybe of another team, no way of knowing, of the men in uniform, seated on benches for the photo to be taken. The letters we can make out on the jacket do not seem to say Philmont. Are there any Columbia County baseball officianados out there who might know something about this? Miki
