Hi Gil, Doris, Ann and WJ3, Thank you all for the information. I am searching for the John Stalker born in 1757 in Claverack. His birth record is in neither in the Dutch Reformed Church nor the Albany Reformed. So I thought I would try the "English" church because I believe this Stalker branch is originally from Massachusetts and definitely not Dutch. I do know that St. Peter's Episcopal Church has records starting in 1756 (with some gaps). I think I will send off a letter. Thanks again everyone. Susan
