Hi List I have searched and searched and........ I am trying to find the names of parents for John McIntyre. He married Harriet Weaver in about 1830-32 in NY - probably Yates or Steuben Co. They lived in Bradford, NY and were on the census records for Bradford in 1850, 55, 65, 75 and 80. Based on ages shown John would have been born in 1801 to 1810. (1801 is on 3 of 5 census records). On one record he says he was born in Columbia Co.; on two he says Dutchess Co. Harriet Weaver b. 1810 or 11 in Dutchess Co. and is the daughter of Jacob Weaver b. 1788 in Dutchess Co. NY .and Hannah ? Weaver b. 1788. Jacob was in Barrington, NY in 1825-1835 at least. Jacob Weaver shows up on Bradford census records in 1850 with sons Martin age 21, William age 17, and Peter age 28 and with Peter's wife (possibly Mercy or Nancy) age 20 and child Emily age 2. Harriet and John McIntyre had the following children: Mary (married Slater) Sarah (married Silvernail) (on one census says she was born in Allegheny Co.) Avry Gilbert (married Catherine ?) Catherine Philena Augusta (married VanTuyl) Cyrus (married Ella Randall) DO ANY OF THESE NAMES LOOK FAMILIAR? CAN YOU GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS FOR FINDING 1801-1810 BIRTH RECORDS (WITHOUT EXACT DATES) IN DUTCHESS CO, COLUMBIA CO.? OR 1830-32 MARRIAGE RECORDS IN YATES OR STEUBEN CO FOR JOHN MCINTYRE AND HARRIET WEAVER? OR A DEATH RECORD FOR JOHN MCINTYRE WHO DIED AFTER 1880 PROBABLY IN BRADFORD?
