My great-grandmother was a Harter and a descendant of Johann Niclaus Harter, the immigrant, through Lorentz Harter of the Mohawk line. My wife and I attended the Harter Family Reunion in Herkimer in 1981. "The Mohawk Valley Harters and Allied Families" by Marion Kofmehl and Hazel Patrick may be of some use to you. It contains research results from Hank Jones who specialized in the emigration from the German Palatinate in 1709. If I can help, let me know.
