    2. Hi Virginia, I checked all my books for Columbia County but did not find any Dungans in any of them. I checked the 1850 Census for Hudson, Columbia County and found on page 239, Dwelling #416, Family #523, Line 4: Dungan, Jacob, 47, male, cigar maker, born New York " , Martha, 35, female, born New York " , Elizabeth, 14 female, born New York " , Mary A., 4, female, born New York " , Hellen, 8, female, born New York " , Laumia, 6, female, born New York " , Marcella, 5, female born New York " , George, 2, male, born New York In the 1860 Census for Hudson, Page 966, Dwelling #856, Family #1271: Jacob C. Dungan, 56, male, cigar maker, personal property value: 100, born Pennsylvania Martha M. Dungan, 45, female born New York Catherine, age 9, female, born New York, attending school Margaret, age 6, female born New York, attending school Jacob C., age 5, male, born New York, attending school Frances I., age 3, female born New York Juliette, age 2, female born New York Also in the 1860 Census Page 672, Hudson, Dwelling #885, Family No. 1318 Bellamira, age 15, female, domestic born New York. She was living with the family of Andrew Rifenburg, jeweler. She is probably the daughter Laumia, age 6 in the 1850 census. It seems Jacob may have been born in Pennsylvania. Hope this helps, Susan
