I would like to hear from anyone having any knowledge of the marriage of Mary Ann Gilding and Norman Bain Sept 1847 Taghanack, Col Co. NY. I am interested in knowing who their parents were and if they had any children. I believe she is the daughter of Joseph Gilding and Catherine/Katrina Prosius.

American Ancestry, Vol. 22 Columbia County Thomas P. Hughes,1887 lists Norman Bain of East Taghkanick (Taconic) b. 1823 (m. Mary A. Proseus) as the son of John of Taghkanick, b. 1795,d.1846 (m. Sally Stickler);son of Peter. Peter of Taghkanick (m._Miller), was one of the earliest settlers of Taghkanick. No mention of Proseus family.
