JOHN A.2 JONES (UNKNOWN1) was born 01 March 1817 in Columbia County, New York, and died 19 March 1883. He married ROSELLY BABCOCK Abt. 1841. She was born 23 September 1824 in Rensselaer County, New York, and died 20 October 1902. Notes for JOHN A. JONES: John A. Jones is enumerated in the 1850 US Federal Census living in Stephentown at age 33 working in manufacturing. Included in his household are his wife Sally E., age 26, daughter Malissa, age 7, and Lucy Goosbridge, age 22. In the 1855 NY State Census, in the Town of Nassau, Rensselaer Co., we find John A. Jones, age 40, born in Columbia Co., inn keeper, with his family Rosylle, wife, age 32, born in Rensselaer Co., and daughters Malissa, age 12, b Rensselaer Co., and Isora, age 4, b Rensselaer Co. Living with the family are Albert Denily, age 57, a boarder and Polly Seaman, age 50, aunt. In the 1880 US Federal Census, Waterford, Saratoga County, John is living with Isora/Ida, her husband, Samuel D. Harrison, and their 3 children on Cohoes Road. John is listed as born in New York, both his father and mother are listed as born in England.
