Can you provide more info on Harmon Salisbury & Mary Hungerford. I have found a bit on this family living in Berne, Albany Co, NY. I have 3 possible sets of parents & at this time have not identified the above Harmon's parents. The possiblities are: 1. Hermanus b. 23 Sept 1770, bp St Thomas Lutheran Church, Churchtown, Columbia Co, NY. Son of Hermanus Casperse VAN SALSBERGEN & Emmetje VAN SALSBERGEN. 2. Hermans b. 9 Feb 1784, bp 7 Mar 1788 DRC of Albany, Albany Co, NY. Son of Joseph Van SALSBERGEN & Margaret Oestsenjans (Oversandt). 3. Hermans b. 21 Aug 1785, bp 1 Oct 1784 1st Lutheran of Albany, Albany Co, NY. Son of Johannes Casparse VAN SALSBERGEN & Maria. I have found a Harman Salsbury m. 4 Dec 1812 [Nassau Reformed Protestant Church, Nassau, Rensselaer Co, NY] to Elizabeth McDarby. Found 3 children: Catharine b. 1813 & Joseph b. 1815 [bapt in Nassau RC] and Margaret bp 1816 [Middleburgh RC, Middleburgh, Schoharie Co, NY. Based on the naming pattern for this family I am of the opinion that this "HARMON" was the son of Joseph Van Salsbergen & Margaret Oversandt. However, Harmon married to Mary "Polly" Hungerford's marriage occurred 27 May 1817 [New Salem RC, Twn of New Scotland, Albany Co, NY]. The only children I have identified so far are James [prob b. @ 1817; John b. 1818 [from cem records]; and Jasper b. 1824 [also from cem records] It is a possibility this Harmen married TWICE? Any other identified children or records relating to this family which you could share might shed some light on identifying 'Harmon's'.parents. 1820 NYS CENSUS INDEX: Harman SALISBURY, Albany Co, #035, Berne [the actural census I have not as yet done for this family] Harmon SALISBURY, Schoharie Co, #169, Broome (2 males under 10, 1 male 26-45; 2 females under 10, 1 female 26-45).
