My gggGrandfather, Charles Babcock lived in Hillsdale, Columbia Co., NY from about 1782 to 1797. There were two other Babcock's, William and Gershom, brothers that lived in Columbia Co. I'll check my Babcock Genealogy to see if there is a Pierpont listed. There were many marriages between the Crandells and the Babcocks.
