Do your Palmers originate in Columbia County? My g-g-g-grandmother was Ruth Palmer, married Pierpont Kenyon and I know nothing about her family. Ruth was born supposdily in NY around 1827, married Pierpont (also known as Peter) in 1852. Does any of this perhaps sound familiar? They lived mainly in Ghent NY as far as I can see on census reports, and Chatham too I believe. -Grace glasker1@bigred.unl.edu
