The official date 01 June. However some samples in Columbia County for 1870 (which had the same official date - 01 June) show: parts of Chatham enumerated on 20 June; Claverack in part on 23 June, 11 July, and 12 July; Gallatin in part on 19 August and 29 August; and Hillsdale in part on 30 July, 03 August, and 06 August.
