I'm behind on reading my e-mail, and just came across the above mail concerning Nancy Beckwith. My gggfather, Benjamin Beckwith of Chatham, NY, married Nancy Beamus Hudson, who was then known as "Nancy Beckwith". Benjamin was born and died in Chatham. He lived 1795-1882. Nancy lived 1782-1854. This info is from their grave stones. Benjamin's will mentions his brother "Smith Beckwith" (as I recorded it) and his son Samuel. Does this fit in with the families which the original post was discussing? If so, I have more details and would be glad to receive details. Pete Beckwith
