Can anyone help me find more information on the "Newspapers" in the New York? Where can I find access to these online where I can read the history on how they were started & possible articles written, etc. ? Where can I get copies ? All that jazz. Specifically, looking for newspapers that two of my family members,ANSEL WARREN & (Hon.) CALVIN AVERILL WARREN, worked on as printers/writers/owners/etc., including but not limited to, these below: "New York Palladium" Part from Calvin's obiturary: Ansel Warren & Calvin A. Warren published it. Saratoga Co., NY in 1831. >From a lookup: Ansel Warren started the NY Palladium at Ballston Spa, NY in 1831. In 1832 it was bought by Israel Sackett and became the Schenectady and Saratoga Standard. Elias Palmer bought it in 1833 and named it Ballston Spa Republican. It was discontinued in 1839. " Sentinel and Farmer's Journal " In Hampshire, Calvin had Editorial management. Calvin A. Warren,Established a paper at Belchester, NY, with another one of the other proprietors of the " Spectator " . " The Register " Book reference: History of Washington Co., NY page 108. First issue of the Register by Ansel Warren & Linus J. Reynolds on July 21,1825. Salem, Washington Co., NY. On the 27th of March 1826 the interest of Mr. Warren was purchased by Mr. Reynolds and the paper was subsequenly under sole charge, while he remained a resident of Salem. Ansel Warren was publishing newspapers in Perry, Wyoming Co., NY in 1830's & 1840's. " Zion's Watch Tour & Baptist Vindicator(sic)" Title of a paper started in Perry, Genesee Co., NY by Ansel Warren. -It displays talent, and good taste in its selections, and is devoted to the interests of the Baptist denomination. It is published monthly at the low price of fifty cents per annum."
