I need help with these 3 families with connections to Columbia County. JOSEPH PITTS born about 1725 (somewhere in Conn. I think) married, 10 Nov. 1748 in Colchester Conn, ANNA TOWNSEND born about 1727 in Hebron Conn. At some point they moved to Chatham, Columbia Co. where their children Amasa,Joseph jr.,Levi,James,Sarah,Anna Lydia and William were born. This WILLIAM PITTS born 5 dec. 1760 in Chatham married Salome Wickham and had, among others, a daughter ANNA PITTS born 24 Mar 1796 in Nassau Rensselaer Co. who married DANIEL CALKINS born about 1790. There were Calkins in Austerlitz area but I don't find Daniel. Any information at all on these folks would be greatly appreciated.Have found some of the Pitts names in the History of Columbia Co. but without family connections. Any other suggestions of places to look would be helpful. Margot
