I'm researching the history of the Meierdiercks' regardless of how they spelled their names. I have evidence that a family member attended The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown during the early 1950s. I'm very anxious to determine who that was. That person may still be living and maybe can tell me what connection he or she had with my family. I'm not aware that anyone in my family lived in Germantown during those years. I was about 25 at that time and knew where all my relatives were living. However the head librarian in Germantown, Marjorie Metzler has checked into this and she said there never was a Presbyterian Church in Germantown, New York. So I maybe in the wrong state. I didn't bring the "evidence" with me to Flori-dah but part of it was the front of a bulletin/order of worship/program that clearly has "The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown" printed on it. I jumped to the conclusion that the Church was in Germantown, New York because in researching all spellings of the name the only people with similar spellings lived in Germantown, New York in the 1900 and 1920 censuses.
