Where might I find the records for the Cemetery of the Evergreens in Lebanon Springs? Do burials still take place there and is there an office? I recently came across entries in a transcription which, despite being misspelled and incomplete, were for family members buried in the "new" section between 1892 and 1948.
Ralph, The records for Evergreen Cemetery, at least some of them (5 pages), can be found at the Columbia Co. Historical Society. Go to the following URL and read about how to order the copies. There are 359 cemeteries listed (many farm plots) for the Co. I also give general locations. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/Cem/Col/CEM-ColCo-Bks.htm If you want to know if your relatives are actually in the cemetery records at CCHS, go to the index of 60,000 names of people buried in the county. Read directions on this webpage and the one above to learn how to best use these lists. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/Cem/Col/CEM-ColMaster.htm Cliff "Ralph C.
