Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NY/Columbia/11853 Surname: Whitmore ------------------------- Both Moses and Christopher WHITMORE were in Columbia Co. in 1800. Judging by the census records Moses was born between 1765 & 1774. In 1810 Moses was still there and there were also households headed by Philip, Reuben and Stephen Whitmore. French's Gazetteer says that Whitmores were among a group of squatters from Connecticut around 1750 in Upper Green River, Town of Austerlitz. Does anyone know anything about these people?
