Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NY/Columbia/11837 Surname: Averill, Kelsey ------------------------- I have been searching for the parents of Sarah Averill who married Stephen Kelsey, probably in Alford, Berkshire Co., MA on 13 Apr 1773. The family is well documented in Alford Sarah's father may have been Ichabod Averill who was one of the early proprietors of land near Taconic Mountain in Columbia County close to the Massachusetts border. The 1790 NY census for Columbia Co. shows an Isaac Averile living in Caanan Twp, but there are only two males under 16 and 1 female noted. Does anyone have any information on this family?
