We have Jeremiah born about 1788 In Alegeny country Pa. It was said he was traveling with his brother John. Could this possible be your John? We don't know who Jeremiah's parents were ,but it does say on one cenus they were foreign born. I found out from another source when they say foreign born they can quite often mean Canada.
