Died ca. 1849 in Cattaraugus County. Married Amelia Ten Eyck, d/o John and Elizabeth Simons of Schoharie Co., NY. Children are: Augustus, Mary, Henry, John Lewis (my gr-gr-gr grandfather) and Sarah Elizabeth. Have found a large concentration of Hover's in Columbia County, but not Schoharie. John and Elizabeth Ten Eyck were originally from Columbia County. This is a LARGE brick wall. Have not been able to locate John and family in any census material in the state. Wife Amelia shows with children in the 1850 Cattaraugus County census. Son John L.'s obit states he was born in Salamanca in 1839. Does someone recognize this family in their Hover research? Thanks.
