Does anyone here know if there are any city directories for the cities in Columbia County during the 1800s or early 1900s? I'm just curious. There is a Hudson directory - I think 1930 timeframe that I found on film at the NARA facility in New York City. I think it included Hudson and Claverack. My husband's family was in the Claverack area at the time but I did not find them in this film. I also found reference in the NY Public Library for a gazetteer and Business Directory of Columbia County 1871 - 72. However, it was stored off-site and not readily accessible.
