Ralph, The records for Evergreen Cemetery, at least some of them (5 pages), can be found at the Columbia Co. Historical Society. Go to the following URL and read about how to order the copies. There are 359 cemeteries listed (many farm plots) for the Co. I also give general locations. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/Cem/Col/CEM-ColCo-Bks.htm If you want to know if your relatives are actually in the cemetery records at CCHS, go to the index of 60,000 names of people buried in the county. Read directions on this webpage and the one above to learn how to best use these lists. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/Cem/Col/CEM-ColMaster.htm Cliff "Ralph C. Where might I find the records for the Cemetery of the Evergreens in Lebanon Springs? Do burials still take place there and is there an office? I recently came across entries in a transcription which, despite being misspelled and incomplete, were for family members buried in the "new" section between 1892 and 1948.
My great-grandparent's certificate of marriage was issued and they are recorded as being married in the village of Mt. Lebanon in 1883. A map reasonably contemporary to that time but of unfortunately small scale suggests that Mt. Lebanon was south of Lebanon Springs close to what is, on my current map, the village of New Lebanon. What has happened to the village of Mt. Lebanon? I assume it designated more than the Shaker community.

I'm researching the history of the Meierdiercks' regardless of how they spelled their names. I have evidence that a family member attended The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown during the early 1950s. I'm very anxious to determine who that was. That person may still be living and maybe can tell me what connection he or she had with my family. I'm not aware that anyone in my family lived in Germantown during those years. I was about 25 at that time and knew where all my relatives were living. However the head librarian in Germantown, Marjorie Metzler has checked into this and she said there never was a Presbyterian Church in Germantown, New York. So I maybe in the wrong state. I didn't bring the "evidence" with me to Flori-dah but part of it was the front of a bulletin/order of worship/program that clearly has "The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown" printed on it. I jumped to the conclusion that the Church was in Germantown, New York because in researching all spellings of the name the only people with similar spellings lived in Germantown, New York in the 1900 and 1920 censuses. Any help would be very much appreciated. Don Meierdiercks

The Harlemville Cemetery records (274) were transcribed by Marion Kern long ago. They passed to Wendy McLean who submitted them to me. This is the first time these records have been online. As hard as it may be to believe, this is the *largest* Columbia Co. cemetery transcription online to date. Thanks Wendy! http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/ Go to "Vital Records - Deaths". Look in Columbia Co. Cliff

While at Albany, I found Mary Hulet's marriage date. She married 13 June 1902 in Manortown, but with the difficulty of cross referencing in Albany, I wasn't able to learn her husband's name. Is there anyone who might know who Mary Hulet married or will check whatever has to be checked there in Manortown. Her family is buried in Vedder Cemetery so I assume she is too. But under what name? Mary was the daughter of Alice MAGLEY and an unknown husband. Alice was a widow by time she was located with her 2 children and parents on the 1900 Columbia Co., NY census. She had a son, John Hulet, who married Fannie Wagner, and both of them are buried in Vedder. Alice married Charles DUNTZ and is buried with his family in another Reformed Dutch Cemetery. Anyone know of Mary Hulet Someone? Shirley Maynard
The marriages that occurred at St. George's Church (Episcopal) in Schenectady, NY 1771-1850 are now online, alphabetized by Groom. It will load onto your computer slowly, but it isn't too bad. I am still working to find a method to reduce its size by getting it out of the table format into columns as I have done with almost all of the other records posted on my site. Tables look great, but triple or quadruple the size of the file, and also make it difficult to copy a record from a website to your computer and have it look right when it gets there. I received the file in html format, the only form in which the file now exists. Does anyone know how to get such a file into a database such as Excel or Works? From there, I know exactly what to do. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clifflamere/ Go to Vital Records - Marriages. Then go to Schenectady Co.
