This morning I have posted the 1872-1899 marriages for the First Presbyterian Church in Valatie, Columbia Co., NY. I have transcribed these over the past few days, and have provided two forms of the webpage. One is alphabetical by the groom's surname and the other by the bride's surname. SURNAME: Great-great-grandparents, John Harvey and Margaret Daly, came from Ireland. Married, November 2, 1856, St. Mary's Church in Hudson, NY. Children: Ellen Maria, b. 10/17/1857; George, b. 11/17/1859; James, b. 1/1/1862; Catherine, b. 2/20/1964; John (my great-grandfather), b, 2/13/1866, Mary b. 9/13/1868 and Edward, b. 12/13/1870.

1850 Columbia Co. Taghkanic page 67 927 927 Henry Dunn, 26, M, Farmer, 2500, New York Hannah M. Dunn, 24, F, New York William H. Dunn, 8, M, New York Jacob Dunn, 5, M, New York Conestell?, 3, F, New York Marshal, 1, M, New York I am searching for Delane (Young) Dunn who married Henry Dunn according to her obituary. Also according to her obituary she had a son name William and a son named Vern. I see a William here but not a Vern , however I do not know the ages and he may have been born after the 1850 census. My Delane would have been age 24 at the time of the 1850 census above. I wonder if it is possible for this Hannah M. to be my Delane. The "M" as an initial for Magdelane ? In Delane's obituary it said that she was converted to the Baptist Church when she was 16. She was born in Columbia County, NY. Her father was Peter Young and her mother was Maria Thomson or Thomson also from columbia Co. NY. Delane died in Michigan 1925. Does anyone have access to a Baptist record for this area? Rachel was the d/o of Adam DINGMAN and Aeltie GARDNEIER. Their family of 11 children is detailed. There is also mention of Adam DINGMAN and Aeltie GARDENIER buying some land in Kinderhook from Jacob Jans GARDENIER, in 1684.

He was 71 years old and born in Columbia Co. His wife was Adeline, age 62, and born in Vermont. I'm not sure, but believe this man was the father of Malcolm or Maklon Dennis, who was born in Onondaga Co., in 1832. Malcolm married Margarette FRANCISCO, ca 1860/1, place unknown, but they were neighbors of William and Adeline Dennis in Cicero, Onondaga Co., NY in 1872. Margarette was born in Dutchess Co., NY, ca 1840. Any help in placing Margarette in Cicero while her father and stepmother lived in Rhinecliff, Dutchess, would be a big step forward in finding her mother's family, the ODELs/ ODELLs. Christina could be an aunt of Jacob's. I have not seen her name in any of my research. There are quite a few records kept in the Kinderhook Museum. They have cemetery lists, some church records (baptisms, marriages), etc. That's how I discovered where Jacob was buried. If you live locally, it could be a great resource.
