This message comes in response to to the July 7 query by Diane Tomlins about the Mellenville Union Cemetery. Diane, as of six years ago ~ when I last traded messages with her ~ the Chairperson of the Mellenville Cemetery was Mrs. Shirley Mullins, at the address shown below: Mrs. Shirley Mullins, Chmn. Mellenville Union Cemetery Post Office Box #15 Mellenville, NY 12544 Her email address was <[email protected]> but it may no longer be working. You might also get some useful guidance from the Hudson Library (last known phone 518-828-1792) or the Columbia County Historical Society (518-758-9265). If you find the current location of the Cemetery records, would you please contact me directly, too? My great-grandparents Andrew and Phidelia Odell are buried there, as well, (She's interred there for certain, but his gravesite remains a bit of a mystery...) I also looked for Revolutionary Pension records and there is one for a Nathaniel Warren born Sharon, Conn. in 1758 and he lived in New Lebanon at the time he entered the service in 1775. When he deposed in 1833, he was living in Rensselaer, Rensselaer county, New York. There is no mention of a marriage, wife or children. New Lebanon was formed from Canaan in 1818.

I am seeking information about certain persons surnamed Hunt on the 1790 census for Hillsdale, Columbia, NY- there is no listing at this time for Spencerport which is where my William Havens married to Theodosia Hunt 1789, parents not known. She was his second wife and they did live in Hillsdale for a short period of time. Did any of these Hunts have a daughter named Theodosia: Japhet; Pelatiah; John; Samuel? I have not been able to view them on the 1850 census as William, born ca. 1763, died in Lowville, Lewis, NY in 1833 and Theodosia, widow, died 1839 in Prattsburg, Steuben, NY.
