Hi Joyce, I cannot help you with any information today. The dates you gave are too old for the Vital Records book. That book only covers 1777 - 1834 (deaths and marriages only). You may want to try, if you have not been there yet, the Clinton County webpage. They have the McLellan Cemetery Index that if your surname is listed, you can send off and get for a very small fee, the cemetery and person's name and what the headstone looks like etc. I have used it and I have found it very helpful. It will also tell you what is inscribed on the stone. The webpage is: www.rootsweb.com/~nyclinto/ . The Beekmantown Civil War roster is also there plus a lot of other goodies.
