Hi Deb, In "The History of Clinton and Franklin Counties, NY" page 259, I found the following: "The following list doubtless contains the names of most of the adult male inhabitants who resided in the town between the years 1788 and 1800 inclusive. These names are taken from the town records, with the year prefixed when they are first mentioned" 1798 Eza SQUIERS Same book, page 164 under the heading of THE METHODIST EPISCOPAL speaking about religious meetings (classes) in Champlain. " The little class of 1810 was composed of John MATHEWS, Alice C. MATHEWS, Phineas FOX, Thomas FOX, Margaret FOX, Mrs. PANGMAN, Joseph PRATT, Lucy PRATT, Lois LEWIS, Margaret JOHNSON and Louisa SQUIRES. In the book, 10,000 Vital Records of Eastern NY-1777 - 1834, we find the following: SQUIERS, Lemuel (Dr.) m 9/13/20 Mary TUCKER in Cooperstown; Rev. TIFFANY.
