Sue Looking for information on ROOT & MEEKER in Clinton County. Specifically George ROOT b abt 1771 m Caroline RANSOM and lived at Chazy from about 1800 to 1825. I believe that they had sons Aaron Bird, Ransom and Hiram ROOT. Hiram probably married a Laura MEEKER about 1829. Thanks for your help. Jim Hicks
