Hi list, Does anyone know if you can get a birth/death document from NY if the child died soon after birth? I have found, through the cemetery listings that my grgrandmother had a child that apparently either was born stillborn or died shortly after birth as it was not given a name. The marker on the grave next to my great grandfather is just marked "Baby Duff". I know that month and the approximate year of birth/death as my great grandmother always made a remark about how she had three children born certain months in her first marriage and 3 children born the same 3 months in her second marriage. Since I have the first two months of the birth for the first 2 children, reason would tell me what the month was for this baby. The birth was either in 1894 or 95 as my great grandfather died in 1895. The first child was born in 1892 and the second child was born in June of 1893. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I do not "need" this document but I would like to add it to the family history collection of documents. Sue [email protected]
