Hi, Steven, I just happened to see this reply to you from Pete. Good thing he decided to do a cc to the list. The name jumped out at me this morning!! I have in the 1880 census for Clinton Co. a Fifield family living next door to my O'Briens in Beekmantown (actually probably Ingraham). I am not sure of the timeframe from your original question, but here goes in case it will help: All born New York, and all parents born New York Henry Fifeld, 35, Laborer Laura, 25, wife, keeping house Grant, 1, son, at school Eliza, 8, daughter John H., 6, son Timothy, 3, son George W., 8/12 July, son Anson, 40, brother, laborer Also, there is a Silas M. Fifield listed in military records for Town of Champlain as enlisted January, 1864 ("History of Clinton and Franklin Cos., NY" p. 275). This would have been from the same area as where Henry Fifield lived - adjacent to Champlain. > Hi Steven, > Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in a timely manner- my in-laws > just arrived here this week - as you can imagine- we have been busy > before thy got here and while they are here- they are gone tonte xmas > shopping- yipee- > > I am also sorry to say I dont see this surname FIEIELD or any varation > of in in this book. > > Pete > > > ******************* > > Steven J Fifield wrote: > > > Pete ; > > > > I copied your name to my address book .
