Does anyone on the list remember hearing the surname HUGHTO or BRUNNER from the Plattsburgh area? I'm still searching for the Orphanage my grandfather, CLARENCE BRUNNER b. Dec. 14, 1899, was placed in at age appx. 3 yrs. (1902?). He told me he was not adopted, but placed in several foster homes. I know his mother was alive and I believe his father was also. He ended up running away out west. Joined Army in CO. in 1916 at age 16-17, but he used the name CLARENCE HUGHTO. To this day we don't know where HUGHTO came from. Hoping for some help. Don't know where Clarence was born, but think it was somewhere in NYS. Thanks, Sarah
