    1. Re: [NYCLINTO-L] Wills of Peter Roberts and Jane Baker Roberts
    2. Hi Sue I have not seen a will for either Peter of Jane. Have you seen the book "Pioneer Homes of Clinton County 1790 - 1820" text and pictures by Allen S. Everest? In the book is #119, the Turner-Roberts homestead, Salmon River Road. It is south west of Plattsburgh near Schuyler Falls. The original owner was Ezra Turner (1763 - 1851). Date: 1812. Mr. Turner owned the home until 1832. Peter J. Roberts until 1865, then Lyman Thompson. The current owner in 1971 is/was Stanley Newell. I drove by the house in July of 1997. It is still inhabited but looks to be in need of repair. #120 The Roberts - Lynch farm on the Military Turnpike Extension. Original owner: Benjamin Roberts, (brother of Lt. Peter). Date: c. 1820. Benjamin, one of 5 brothers who were veterans of the Revolution, serrled here in 1798 and built this stone and brick house. Richard Lynch bought the farm in the 1830's and it remained in his family for many years. The present owner as of 1971 is Abel Toxapeus. I drove by this house too. It is inhabited and seems to be very well cared for. The book is available for viewing at the library in Plattsburgh. Jane
