Hi Jane, I have not seen that book at all. I will have to check out the special bookstores on-line and E-bay for this book. I know that after the original town of Plattsburgh was laid out, those that purchased the land laid out so many 100 acres "plots" to be sold to get the town established. Peter Roberts was one of those individuals who purchased a "plot". He also owned a blacksmith shop down by the lake in old downtown Plattsburgh. I do know that during one of the big fires of Plattsburgh, his shop was burned but I believe he had it rebuilt. I got all this information from HISTORY OF CLINTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES, NY 1880 which I purchased from E-bay. Unfortunately, even though there is a lot of history, it does not show any lineage between the different Roberts names or any of their spouses and children. Thanks for the interesting information and I think that would make for an interesting addition to their information I have written in FTM. I love to make these people come alive; not just a name with a bunch of statistics. :-D You have a nice day. I guess I will either have to write to the courts in Plattsburgh or the Plattsburgh Library for any information on wills. I would love to find something. I do not think that either he or his wife Jane died intestate.
