    3. Doug, When I said, "Do you think he's the namesake?", that's what I had in mind. When you have a problem with finding an ancestor and you have a middle name, like the one you have given, it's the alternative route to take in finding the history of that person. You are overlooking data that you should be tracing. The year given is 1850 or so and you are looking for 1827 - work back from there!
