Hi All, Family lore has it that our ancestor, Joseph Bergeron, was a cavalryman and fought for the British in the War of 1812 at the battle of Plattsburgh. He was from St. Gregoire, Nicolet County, Quebec. After the war, he moved his family to the AuSable area in New York. Would anyone have information on the British and the battle of Plattsburgh?
