Hi John, Thanks for your response and interest in my Fournier lines. Hope we can connect. My starting point in Clinton county is Pierre FOURNIER and wife Julia/Julie MENARD (MANOR). I do not have any other family information on Julia Menard. I have strong speculation about the ancestors of Pierre/Peter Fournier. What I do know is this: Pierre/Peter Fournier was born in Alburg, Vermont; on 27 May 1823 or 1825. He died on 30 June 1901 in Plattsburg, Clinton county, NY. Julia Menard was born in 1830 in Beekmantown, Clinton county, NY and died in 1903 in Plattsburg. They have 11 children. I believe they are all born in Clinton county. (1) Pierre/Peter Fournier b. 1848 m. 1870 to Hermine (LA)FONTAINE; 4 children of this marriage (2) William Henry Fournier b. 29 July 1850 d. 22 March 1938; married 3 times * about 1870 to F---- MIGNAULT; b.1855-d. 1877 (1 child of this marriage) ** about 1879 to Mary D. COLLINS; b. 1858 d. 1888 (5 children of this marriage) *** 1888 in Fall River, Bristol county, Massachusetts to Maria Eulalie Dela "Lillian" DION (4 children of this marriage) (3) Esther b. 1853 d. 1923; married Horace (Henri) EMERY (4) David (1) b. 1855 d. 1942; married twice * in 1877 to Marie EMERY b. 1849 d. 1885 ** after 1885 to Julia BROTHERS (5) Julie b. 1857 (6) Emelie b. 1859; married Alexandre BOILEAU (7) Henriette b. 1861 (8) Catherine (Cordelia) b. 1863 (9) Marie-Mathilda b. 1865 (10) Adeline "Addie" b. 1868 (11) Louis b. 1873 d. 1873 Back to speculation....other researchers believe there is strong reason to believe that Pierre/Peter Fournier is Pierre Hubert Fournier, the son of Pierre Fournier (b. 1802 Longueuil, Chambly, Quebec) and first wife, Archange LEVASSEUR-CARMEL. This couple was married on 12 April 1825. Two other children of this marriage are: Jeremie Laurent Fournier (b. 1829 d. 1861) and Esther Fournier (b. 1831 d. 1902).
