Hello, Listers. With the beginning of the New Year, I felt that it was time to dust off my Clinton Co. names and hope to make contact with others. John Snell and family moved from Castleton, VT between 1810 and 1820 to Jay, NY. His son, David, married, ca 1830 to Jane Marie Bragg in Peru, NY. They had several children, including my ancestor, Otis. David lied about his age (he was in his late 50's)to serve as replacement soldier in the Civil War and died shortly thereafter in Virginia.
