Susan, I have to agree. I am frustrated with trying to gain access to my family records. I either have to pay lots of money or wait 50yrs even when everyone is dead. I am not sure what the problem is that NY takes sooo long to get the records???? I would like to buy a copy of the McCellen book. I don't think this is available to buy?
