    3. Sounds like one of the many Canal Schooner companies that operated on Lake Champlain. I had an ancestor who owned and operated his own Canel/Schooner on Lake Champlain. The library at SUNY(Feinberg) had several books on different Lake Champlain companies you might try there. Also with the advent of Railroads many of these companies became part of different Railroads, and were operated as subdivisions of Railway Companies.Search the online areas under Lake Champlain,Canals,Transportation,Railways, in NY state I think you might find info there. Also the Stae of Vermont has a ongoing archaeological project on my ancestors Canal/Schooner which now resides the bottom of Burlington,Vt. harbor. ----- Original Message ----- From: Harriet May Chase <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 11, 2000 1:23 AM Subject: [NYCLINTO-L] WHERE/WHAT IS/WAS CHAMPLIAN TRASPORTATION CO > Hi > In my ever go-around in search of my ggrandfather, Ezra Bowers Chase, > who according to MA archives Death Log, indicate who might be him, born > in Burke, NY, with father, George. > > No data to be found on Ezra.
