BEERS ATLAS shows a town of Clinton in the most northwestern part of Clinton County. (Runs to the Canadian Border.) Just to the south is Ellensurgh. According to BEERS, it was fromed from Ellensburgh in 1845. At the other end of the County, in the SE corner is Au Sable which includes the village of Clintonville. I'm sure, however, that you want Clinton in the Norht. By the way, for those who asked me to look up names in BEERS ATLAS, It's off the shelf and on my desk.
