I'm looking for Samuel ROGERS (b. 1800) or his sons Henry Phillip ROGERS (b. 12-18-1837) and Edward ROGERS (b. 1838), living in Mooers in 1850 and in 1860. Henry and Edward enlisted in Company G of NY 153rd Regiment from Mooers. Edward was married there to Sarah Ann (LNU). Samuel's wife was Aurelia PERRY (b. 1804). Before coming to Clinton County, they lived in VT, probably Orwell, for a period of time. Samuel ROGERS and Aurelia PERRY were both born in NY. Aurelia's father was also born in NY. I do not know where. Samuel and his son Henry were possibly masons, according to family lore. They all moved to DuPage County IL by 1870, (probably right after the end of the war, as Henry married Nancy Rosetta BEARDSLEY there in 1866). That's all I have. If anyone has any information, no matter how small, I would love to hear from you! I've been trying to trace these ROGERS for four years for my mother, and have made almost no headway. Thanks! Meg Shearer
