    3. Hi Andree, Oh Gosh! Yes! Please look for me! I am aware of the Deerfield capture. But I cannot get back any farther than my grandfather (Felix Stebbins)who (supposedly) was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1879. His death certificate says he was born in Chicopee, MA and his parents were from Champlain, but his marriage records states he was born in Springfield, MA. May he wsn't really born at all <smile>. The only consistent thing is his parents names: Joseph Stebbins and Marie (Mary) Lavalle (Lavalley). I estimated their birth dates based on Felix's. I am a novice at genealogy and really don't know where to look in Quebec or how to search for anything prior to 1800, which I use the on line PRDH for. Thanks and regards, Cheryl At 12:37 PM 2/11/00 EST, you wrote: >Hi Cheryl, >I have Stebbins in my tree - mine did not go (I don't think!) to NY - they >are in Quebec BUT the name is spelled STEBENNE there.
