I'm still trying to put together my SARTWELL My gr uncle Jason SARTWELL, born 1877 in Bedford Que, Canada was reported to be in St. Albans, VT as late as 1936. Before that he was in West Lebanon, NH. I have been to Concord NH to see if he died there without success. I have to all of the towns in that area also without success. I live only eight miles from St. Albans, VT and have checked that out thoroughly. I also went to our state archives at Middlesex, VT and they haven't any death records either. I live right next to the NY line and have looked there, but not knowing the system I can't ascertain whether Jason died there. Has anyone heard of Jason Leon SARTWELL? I really would like to find the answer to this. I'm also trying to find my gr grandfather's, Joseph SARTWELL, born 1828, final resting place. He was last reported in Swanton VT. According to his son's marriage certificate he was living in Swanton when he died at age 76. No record of Joseph's death either. I have full access to Swanton Town Clerks office. I can't find anything on Joseph. I know he was in Swanton in 1860 according to the federal census. Any help on either of these would be greatly appreciated.
