    1. Re: [NYCLINTO-L] Civil War Period Photo's, letters, etc.
    2. Recently a friend told me that she had a box of Civil War letters, pictures, etc. that was in their house when they bought it many years ago. She brought me some of the things that she had and I thought I would let the list know about them, as they apparently deal with someone in New York State, possibly around Binghamton(?) There is one photo taken by a photographer in Binghamton. There are several photographs of men, there is a card, that could be an appointment card. It says,"University of the State of New York, ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY, by Wright-P__-MD For Mr. Edw C. Cooper. There are some letters, (don't know if she has the envelopes) to a Mrs. Cushman and they are signed Cliff. There is also an order to report for someone to report to the Post Hospital Columbus, Kentucky signed by N or W. R. Denby Surg in Chief, 6" Div. 16th Army Corps, dated Dec 15, 1863. Name at the bottom is H. C. Cooper, Asst. Surg, 178 N.Y. Vol. There is also a very loving letter to his wife (girlfriend) and her name could be Bonnie. Also a receipt dated November 16, 1863 from a Capt. John Collier to a Dr. Cooper, signed William S. Marks, Clerk. Can anyone connect to any of these names? These were found in Evergreen, Colorado. I will be going through the box in the next week or two and will post anything else I find of interest. Could someone suggest other places (lists, websites, etc.) where I might post this information to reach the maximum amount of interested parties? Thanks marykell
